We are currently in production on the definitive James Brown docu-series, to be released next year in conjunction with Mr. Brown’s 90th birthday. This project is being produced with the full support and involvement of the James Brown Family Foundation, the estate, and Polydor Records.
Do YOU have any footage, photos, or other material related to James Brown that could be part of the series? We’d love to know what you have!
Examples of materials we’d be interested in: Photos / home videos / film footage of James Brown (performing, candids, original interviews, on the street, backstage etc.), ideally from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
Please let us know if this footage is second hand, or original. Please confirm if you captured this footage yourself (or if it was captured by a friend / family member, etc).
If the material is used in the final film, we will pay you a licensing fee and give you credit. We’ll be in touch if we’d like to see your materials! Thank you for all of your continued support of the James Brown Family Foundation in carrying on the legacy of my father, Mr. James Brown.
